Product Overview:
The VTAM Multi-User Platform (MUP) provides program services for multiple users
per address space and multiple address spaces in a native MVS VTAM environment.
Automatic SAF calls provide security processing at the same level as TSO. The
VTAM MUP provides a high performance TSO-like environment without the high overhead
of native MVS TSO. The VTAM MUP supports the Super IND$FILE and FSE+ applications
from ASI. A batch job to initiate Super IND$FILE transfers is included with the
Super IND$FILE version of the VTAM MUP.
One or more workstations are acquired and optionally logged on to the Super IND$FILE
application executing under the VTAM MUP. The batch job then instructs the workstations
to perform one or more file transfers to or from the host. All Super IND$FILE
functions are available in the VTAM host-initiated environment. The VTAM MUP
and its API are available for OEM customers. The API enables applications to
interface with the MUP terminal I/O and storage management routines. Additional
